10th Cobh Guinness Blues Festival

September 23rd > 25th

In September of every year the harbour town of Cobh hosts a gathering of international, national and local Blues musicians for the annual Guinness Cobh Blues Festival.

Some of the most popular venues, pubs & hotels will host performances, both outdoor’s and indoor’s, throughout the weekend.

Now in its 10th year, Cobh Blues Festival, founded by Paul O’Halloran, takes place on the 23rd of September. Paul tells us that each year, the festival has grown from strength to strength and he expects this year to be no different.

The event will provide over a hundred hours of free music with over 20 acts performing in 11 indoor and outdoor locations around the seaside town.  In addition to the before mentioned venues the bandstand in the promenade makes the perfect setting for some open air electric and acoustic blues.

On Saturday the 24th September at 2.30pm there will be a family fun afternoon in the promenade with the Cobh Blues Club providing music along with some invited guests.

For anyone with a passion for blues music this Blockbuster Blues weekend is a must. This year the festival line-up includes.
