With Support from Jamie Stanton
Sunday 30th October
Jack Doyle Room, Commodore Hotel
Irish Singer Songwriter Paddy Casey’s years as a busker during his teens, on the streets of Galway and his home town of Dublin served him well.
This period allowed him to associate with future breakout artists like Glen Hansard (of the Frames), Mundy and Mark Dignam.
Paddy developed a keen instinct for the type of melody & song writing that is immediate and arresting with a natural intimacy not often heard in conventional pop music.
· Over the years Paddy has recorded a number of albums including:
· Amen (So be it)- Best Debut Album in the 1999 Hot Press Irish Music Awards
· Living- which included lead song Saints and Sinners. The album went twelve times platinum in Ireland
· Addicted to Company- featuring a guest appearance by Declan O’Rourke
In 2014 his album “The Secret Life of” was released. It was recorded, produced and mixed at home in Paddy’s kitchen
Paddy plays the Jack Doyle Room on Bank Holiday Sunday night the 30th October 2016. Doors open at 8.30pm and support is provided by Jamie Stanton from 9pm.
Jamie, a well-known Cobh native who was included in the “Indiependence” line-up this year, will be just getting off the plane from the U.S. to support Paddy.
Jamie will be returning from touring Los Angeles during September and October promoting his debut album Flying Colours. The gig coincides with the first anniversary of the album which includes the lead single “Living it High”.
