Please find a list of terms and conditions that you should be made aware of when reserving a Wedding in the Commodore Hotel. These terms and conditions have been designed with you, the customer, in mind and ensure that your special day will be one to remember for all the right reasons.

Date of booking:       

Minimum notice of twelve months is required for any wedding reservation.

A proposed date for an event can be held provisionally for two weeks, thereafter, it is at the discretion of the Commodore Hotel to release the date if no booking deposit is received. Prospective clients must meet with a member of management by appointment prior to acceptance of the deposit otherwise the deposit will be deemed null and void. Bookings cannot be made through 3rd parties, wedding coordinators or any false pretence- any such bookings will deem (without prejudice) any deposit and contract received for same, null and void.

The following details must be submitted to the co-ordinator on booking: Name, address, telephone & mobile number & e-mail address.

Deposit: A non refundable deposit of €500 is required to secure the booking date. Payment of the deposit is acceptance of our terms and conditions. The balance of payment is due one week prior to the wedding day. Deposits and balance payments can be made by cash, bank draft, credit card or personal cheque (allowing 7 working days to clear). A credit card handling fee of 0.15% will apply to credit card payments.

Details: All event arrangements and details should be discussed no later than four weeks prior to the event date at a scheduled meeting with the co-ordinator. A full guest list of persons attending the sit-down meal (including first name and surname) must be supplied to the hotel four weeks in advance. In addition a guest list (first name and surname) for people attending the evening reception is required four weeks in advance. Persons not on the list will be refused entry. The final booking details should be confirmed 7 days prior to the event date. Any specific theme i.e fancy dress etc. needs to be agreed with the hotel in advance.

Purpose of the function:

At the time of booking, the hotel management will request the purpose for booking the venue. Should it emerge at a later date that the venue was booked for an alternative purpose, other than the one specified then the hotel management reserve the right to withdraw service and close the venue.

Minimum numbers: The number of guests attending the event and /or evening reception should be submitted seven days prior to the wedding date. Final numbers are required on the Wednesday prior to the wedding date and this is the number you will be charged for on the day except if the numbers increase, in which case the larger number will be charged for.

Bar Extension: Should a bar extension be required a minimum of two months notice must be given. Bar opening hours and duration of music are subject to the premises being granted an extension by local Gardai.

Beverages: Only beverage purchased in the hotel can be consumed in the hotel lobby, function rooms, bar, lounges, roof garden & club, except for wine where corkage has been agreed with the hotel management in advance.

Entertainment:  The Commodore Hotel accepts no responsibility for services or entertainment not booked by the hotel.

Smoking facilities: The hotel smoking balcony is available to all patrons. However noise levels must be kept to a minimum. In the past excessive noise has meant that we have had to close this facility.

Young Persons and identification: Any persons who are under eighteen years of age attending the event must be off the premises before 12.30am. This is to comply with current legislation.

Identification must be produced on request. The only acceptable forms of ID are a National Identification Card, Passport or Full Driving Licence.

Admittance: People who have been denied access to the hotel/ night-club for whatever reason are not permitted to attend the event. Should such an instance arise then please inform the hotel management in advance.

Persons attending the function must enter the hall before the main hotel doors close, i.e. Monday to Thursday 11.30pm, Friday & Saturday 12.30am & Sunday 11.00pm. (B/ Holiday Sunday night at 12.30am).

Anybody who wishes to leave the premises after the hotel doors are closed will be unable to re-enter the premises.

Persons attending functions have to access Club C by the Club C entrance only. Access cannot be granted complimentarily.

Outside Catering: No food items other than wedding cake may be brought on to the premises for consumption. This is in accordance with current Hygiene Legislation.

Accommodation:  On request, a block of 10 bedrooms may be reserved for the wedding party. These rooms must be guaranteed by the individual. Non guaranteed rooms from this block will be released eight weeks prior to the wedding date. All individual reservations must be

guaranteed with a deposit and no provisional bookings will be taken. Check in time is after 2.00pm. Check out is 12 noon.

Third Parties on the premises i.e. D.J’s, Photographers, Videographers, Bands, Visual etc:  The before mentioned parties must provide a copy of their public liability insurance, and indemnify the hotel against any loss arising from any accident they are party to.

Disclaimer: The Commodore will not be held liable for any loss, damage or theft to property owned by the client or their guests, before during or after the wedding day. The Commodore reserves the right to charge for any damage caused to the premises by the client or their guests. The Commodore does not take responsibility for gift cards or cake left in hotel. Please ensure you collect all your belongings before leaving the hotel.

The Commodore shall not be held liable for any failure to provide facilities, services, food or beverage as a result of events or matters outside its control.

The Commodore reserves the right to amend charges of products and services being supplied to the client, in the event that governmental alternation such as VAT or unforeseen supplier increases due to market demand and or lack of supply of products required.

Hotel Amendments or cancellations: Should the Commodore for reasons beyond its control, need to change the event arrangements , it shall use all reasonable endeavours to offer the client alternative comparable arrangements and facilities.
